TK I went on the anchor during the week and bumped into big col getting a spot of practice
Speaking to a pike anglers who said that the section was now apparently being controlled by Brownhills community, However there's nothing on any of the bridges making any one aware of this.
I would assume that any bailiff will have tough time of prizing any money from any one untill the controlling club as this clearly defined for every one to see
The canal's been permanently peg from Black cock bridge upto the wides in clayhanger nothing is marked on the section that we planned to fish
So if we want to take the chance and go to Clayhanger ill happily peg it out
but to stop and possible confrontation each angler could pay their own peg fee, personally i will refuse unless any bailiff provided me with hard evidence.
On the fish front I fished it for 2 hrs and had a fish a chuck
put the decision to the masses either way as long as im fishing im not fussed where i go

I with Gaz on this, I would love to fish this section again, and if its not marked up, Im sure the bailiff would only ask for a peg fee if that.
Im happy to go clayhanger

Ok Guys as TK would say " pin your lug holes back " if we want a change of venue there's one more option that is definitely no controlled by any one
The section that runs from Pelsall Road bridge back towards tesco bend, you park in the dead end road in northfield way which is left turn of Clayhanger Road
we could peg from curlew drive bridge towards pelsall Lane ( see google maps)
Ive fished this section many times in the winter and 9/10 it produces
failing this lets just go back to the extension
They are Gruellers after all

Hi Blues4eva - had a gander at google maps - would we get 20 pegs in between the bridge and Pelsall lane? Looks a little tight?

Next bridge down Tricast62 - carry on past where we usually park up for about 1/2 mile and then take the next right into Wyrley lane

According to my A-Z Coopers Bridge is located in Clayhanger between the Tesco bend and Lichfield road going towards Pelsall. This encompasses the Lindon Road section we fished previously This means that Brownhills Community hold the stretch from Chasewater to Clayhanger.??

Suspect parking might be a bit tight at Doggers Bridge as there are only half a dozen( ish) spaces and that is a busy little lane as it runs down to Fishley Park etc

What about some of the free water at Rugeley between new bypass and Wolsley Bridge. As far as I know, nobody has taken up the lease on it. There is another free bit from Wolsley bridge towards Colwich Lock (big chub water).
Or speak to Tony at Coors and see if we can book the Priory stretch. Think it would fish ok for the cost of a peg fee.
