Recived a letter from Packington Estate Enterpirses ltd yesterday....
It advised of the new policy regarding keepnets
1. Anglers must now provide their own keepnets
2. keepnets must be laid out to dry as soon as the angler gets o their peg and must not be placed into the water until 15 minutes before the match commences
3.There will be a 60lb maximum weight limit per net
The fishery will continue to weigh in matches and the strategy will be strict in dealing with any infringement of the above policy

60lb maximum weight limit per net
Curse match 8 2013 - Little Gearies
Yep, 60lb is unlikely , but who knows ...
If any members are interested here's a couple of snaps I took on the 3rd of June, looking up the pool from the end nearest Big Gearys. Vegetation has fleshed out even more now although individual pegs have been cleared of course. An island runs the length of the pool, rod and line chuck for pretty much all pegs.
Nice place. From when I fished it, i'd say think skimmers and F1's in the main, plus the odd carp some of which are sizeable.
There's at least one gudgeon in there, I caught it.

Curse match 8 2013 - Little Gearies
i take it this one was a craking match with every one netting over a ton each as the is no report or any posts calling to it to be filled in, never fish there again or it was another gruller yet
Curse match 8 2013 - Little Gearies
Its a decent venue and pool this, close to me and I managed to pop down and say hello. I was concerned it may be a grueller in the hot weather but it didn't look too bad when I wandered around, thank goodness .
Some catchin', some not, as fishin' goes
