How many really did fish that match

Hot topic in Matchfishing mag, what's everyones opinions is it becoming an extensive problem to any degree where organisers glorify their attendences this is a quote off another site

in my eye's your only cheating yourselves kammo points are watched very closely and i as a match organiser had been asked to plus the numbers up and by anglers you would never think my answer to these anglers is take a look at the balance sheet the numbers are all there for everyone to see so would you like me to cheat as well !! didn't think so !!  ::) ::) ::) ::)

tony keeling is a close friend of mine and keeps the competition in order glorifying attendance is a no no for me

Matches with funny attendance numbers have been going on for years up at a fishing complex near whitmore staffs where a few kamassan champs have come from. Funny that eh. Two of these so called champs one year fished a teams of four summer league on local canals around staffs area and got a good bumming everytime of the next peg by various anglers they did not fish the following year i wonder why Image. Natural venues for me please Image if you have to cheat then your not worth your salt enough said.

your right you only have to look at Mark pollard from day one of the kammo he's never missed a final place yet he's never won one but his record is second to none winning points on various venues up and down the country
not like some roll out of bed to the local commercial and expect 50 anglers to be there >:( >:(
Mark pollard should of fished for England a few years back without a doubt Image Image

The Kamasan died when they started digging holes in the ground and putting Carp in them.

No disrespect to any of the recent winners. But look at the names on the cup before the Commercial reveloution came about. Top class allrounders. Not one trick ponies.

there was plenty of fidling of the figures when we fished proper venues its nothing new
but the new commie angler has a big advantage over a traditional angler
if u broken even money wise in a season team fishing u have had a good year

Very few team anglers that do nothing else break even over a season, not on a regular basis anyway. Only the exceptional or someone having a good year will do that. Most 100 peg + matches we fished in cogs league, realistically on every venue there was less than 10 pegs you could win from and as most matches were double pegged you often found youself 10 pegs away from where you needed to be to compete to pick section money up. I'll let you do the maths Image

Can't help thinking some are putting half a story over on this topic.

It is no good moaning about it, let me have the names of these alleged 'cheats'. The names of venue mean nowt.

What has happened has happened, - if indeed anything has, - years ago can not be rectified.

A lot of effort and even more wasted time goes into the scrutinising of the Kamasan results.

I hear nobody praising praising Kamasan (Drennan) for the tremendous amount of money they put into match fishing year on year for a competition automatically open to all, that doesn't even carry an entry fee?

No hidden agenda on my response Bill, purely aimed at the points Tamer made about team fishing and breaking even. The one before that is directed at Tamer himself as he cheats at anything he does, no matter who against or how much its for Image Image Image
