and he's carping
mark pollard what a class act he's winning on commercials as well as natural venues
on the fens only last weekend won with 18lb of squatt fish he said he never needed to put G/B in just loose fed squatts ok you might say he was in the epicenter but he was still 6lb of fish in front of second thats a lot of squatt fish

plus read his big interview in match fishing mag

thats GUC between grove church and slapton near leighton buzzard. Carp and bream city in the summer, crappity smack all in the winter

Yeah I fished Slapton a few times in WLs years ago. There used to be quite a lot of skimmers there; when you hooked them you had to manoevre them betweem the carp to get them out Image Image Image Image

Simps,

Dan Ashington done a feature on that stretch in match fishing mag within the last two years. Grove church lock is number 29 and slapton lock is number 30.

I remember that feature in a mid 90's mag called match angling plus good mag at the time and that pole was a garbolino power maxim heavy but there wernt a carp swimming that it wouldn't fetch out hmmm miss mine! :'(

had about 8 pound of skimmers, but lost 3 nil to the carp!!!

I even remember when it used to be solid with Roach, great big hemp fish on every peg (or so it seemed).

LOL i had the pleasure of the Animal house many years ago on a Hail league match ran by Steve Davis.
Caught 3 bream for 10lb but lost 5 carp Image.
Ps The match was fished before the days of powerful elastics Image Image
