Fox no1 discontinued now squatt head unless any shops still got any in stock your out of luck I use the stuff myself an swear by it I've about 3 packs left them I'm out :(
You could try a no2s through your top 3 that will be well soft just hope that you don't hook out too big or you'll be netting em on your top 6

In case of any help..?
I have done alot work on The R.M.C. in Rye/Hythe stretches of canal and when bigger fish failed to show we got our heads down and went for the roach on Squatt...only squatt
I always found the Maver Latex no 2 IDEAL for the job.(white)
Set through NO1 and 2 sections (say Daiwa) as through all top 3 to much. Sometimes for shallow up in the water fishing I would use the 'short no 3'sect to add on to 1/2 and not have so much loose line.
The Maver no. 2 was set soft with std small Preston cone bung and micro connector..
The most important factors I flound were..
1.. lacky really soft and loads lubricant on to start.
2. size of float very important as small ones ideal.I sent away for Lattimer 3x9 0r 4x9...no resistance to delicate roach...A 4x10 was not right in say 3/4 ft water
Used long line say 3ft to lay rig out and no tangles on shipping.
Do not mean to tell you how to suck eggs but I found this worked well.
Get your head down early on match to catch weight small roach say up to 2 oz (but mostly 1oz fish a bonus)
This will beat a bonus and on a good day 5/6lb good weight in sect..!
But as I say always liked the Maver no. 2 latex.

I had quite a supply of Number 1 elastic (Fox) but is has all been given away now.

We always used to need 1's on my local cut (not nowadays) and before they started manufacuring it for anglers we used to get it from some of the local market stalls.

In fact this stuff was probably better than any manufacturers elastic (as it wasn't 'branded' it was ridiculously cheap, probably even more stretchy and lasted a whole lot longer). It was white and probably never went under as much 'treatment' as branded elastic does.

I know I bought some from my local market and it lasted me for more years than I care to remember.

I also had a spool of black elastic that in diameter was about a 3. If you tried to break it by hand it would cut your hands.

Well worth trying these little market stalls, honestly. Image Image

Still with elastic, does anyone remember the square stuff that was used to make the original whopper droppers. You can buy this in some gun shops nowadays. Image Image

I use the Fox red 1s

Browning blue stuff (very soft)

Middy white 1-2

They all do a job for small fish speed fishing , if you hook anything half decent on the Fox red 1s it will do your head in !  Image Image  :D
