Kamasan points.

Could somebody explain what these are, how they work and what are they for ?

briefly they are awarded to the 1st/2nd in advertized open matches
ie must be open to anybody

1st = 4 points
2nd = 3 points
3rd = 2 points
4th = 1 points

When you reach the 20 point mark you qualify for the british kamasan open, i think its called anyway. All matches must have over 50 anglers fishing too allow the kamasan points too be earned Although with how turnouts are getting lower and lower at venues i think there was talk of lowering the reqiured amount of anglers too 40, i dont if anything is going to come of this though

Its altered a lot since I took any interest in it,did get 12 points one year

As Ad as said not that many places that have matches big enough now

So if Lee advertises a match on his canal and more than 50 turn up, is that a 'points' match ?
