I wonder if the angling trust will be using beam scales on sunday.
As if the canal is going to be as hard as it was last sunday those dial scales are not going to be any good for weighing in a tight match when every ounce/dram can make a difference.

There's a few odd balls around loughborough. One guy stopped and asked if my pole was heavy last wk, after replying 'no mate i can hold it in one hand' He then started lecturing me on how carbon fibre is made and why it was first created and how this new graphine carbon is going to take over the world.
Turns out he was an ex university lecturer on the subject!
He must of seen me coming or something.
He bored me to death for twenty minutes, then set about on his way up the canal to find his next victim.
Think i'll keep my hood up this weekend so he doesn't recognise me, incase he forgot to tell me something more boring last week.

Canal is getting clearer by the day boats have been moving all week one or two are upset by the way one or two anglers have spoke to them and have promised to reverse and speak to the relevant anglers
There are no boats at the minute on the canal apart from h/plant hire signs have been put up about the dog crap on glebe street and the dog ward will be cleaning it up hopefully not Sunday
