Fishley?

Either side of Wood Lane?

The Common

Or The Extension?

Let me know your preference, although this could be tempered by water clarity/wind conditions and the 'chosen' section could be changed 24 hrs before the match dependent on conditions.....

Just a thought as I mull over where to go....

How fortunate we are as a club having the 'choice'....…...how many other small angling clubs 'control their own waters' and are confronted with the same dilemma????

Walked up Wood Lane yesterday clear and full of weed

Just the common providing wind ain't too bad or the extention would be my choice :thumsup

Fishly is we're the fish are n parkings better. The common will produce more smaller fish with odd bream n tench but depends on wind strength .
Top end of extention (common end ) is unfishable due to it being so clogged up with silt, the boats are unfishable due to there being so much weed growth
Don't really know about the extention by arms ,wen I check tickets there's nobody fishing it. One or two at doggers but we all know that the first 5-6 pegs by the bridge is so shallow it's dead water .
In my view fishly has been the most consistent for everybody with weights being a lot better than elsewhere.

my view is that fishley as produced better weights ,it can be bad on certain pegs with the wind ,but this is the same on all the canal .So I am happy to fish on any decision made :thumsup :thumsup

Just a point, OBI and I fished a "needle" match today.
Having viewed the effect of the wind on the Common we opted to fish the Extension, opposite the old colliery wharf.
There is good colour in the water and it fished really well.
In just over 41/2 hours OBI netted a mixed bag in excess of 7.5 lbs and whopped my 4.5 solid.
It was well sheltered and very calm.
Food for thought?

Tricast , you just need some 12 lb line direct through to size 6 hooks ( plus check your size 20 laccy has been suitably treated )

Should sort out any "animals" you meet up with on Saturday

Same old debate every time :-/ :-/. Nowt wrong with a bit of wind. If the weather is rough, it's the same for everybody. You fish to the best of your abilities to suit the prevailing conditions. Turning into a right set of wusses you lot :nana :nana :nana

I propose Wigmores Image Image Image Image Image Image
