One the oldest and most prestigious matches, the Thames Championship, was fished by 22 teams of 6 on on the Thames from Lechlade though to Rushey. The upper Thames has been fishing well with both big fish and plenty of small fish feeding. On the team from Drennan Oxford continued their brilliant run taking both 1st and 2nd place with the Yellow team dropping only 15 points.
1st Ed Warren – Garbolino – 26lb 14oz. Ed drew the inform peg 59 at Clanfield and had 7 chub on pole fished worm and caster over chop worm feed.
2nd Paul Passmore – Devizes MG - 21lb 8ox. Paul drew at the top end of Lechlade and had a brilliant small weight on a 3m whip with maggot on the hook.
3rd Mick Denton Drennan Oxford Yellow - 18lb 14oz. Mick had 3 big chub on pole fished worm over caster at Rushey
Team result
