Oxford winter league round 6

#1

Unread post by John Beesley »

The 6th and final round of the Angling Trust Oxford winter league was fished by 6 teams of 8 on the Oxford canal from Kidlington to Wolvercote. With mild conditions but a blustery wind the canal was once again expected to provide plenty of small fish plus bonus fish for the lucky few, However some of the sections fished exceptionally hard with a mere 1 ounce winning one section. Most of the interest was in the team result with Sensas A4 and Isis fighting it out for 2nd place behind Oxford Drennan.
1st John Beesley – Drennan Oxford – 14lb 15oz. John drew 2 below Yarnton lane road bridge and had 5 big perch on pole fish lobworm fished down the middle and backed this up with roach caught on bloodworm over joker feed.
