Sorry I cant make it chaps. Looks like a half decent turn out. I am booked into a match on a Commercial near Inverness  Image

BDM...if you want any of my SB, its under the patio bench in my back garden.  Image You will probably get away with the lighter stuff if its not tap water clear  :D

My forecast for a winner:
Roy "Hovis" Cottie with a net of silvers and Tincas Image

Is there any shelter from the wind along there.

Sorry to hear that Dave

That's a shame as I was genuinely looking forward to the challenge of competing against a new face and step up in class and particularly against the w&j

Also a shame that the no6 section didn't survive today - presume the winds? - as it would have been aok tommorow, the section being predominantly sheltered either side by trees most of the length

Quoted from TK on the TA forums HERE

Dont forget your brolly and some tent pegs to hold it down ;)

That's when the beasties really come out to play.......

I'm still feeling my way into this cut having recently taken it on for harrisons. I used to fish it years ago when there wasn't the same head of silvers in it - it wasn't possible to compete on silvers - a few tench used to win.

There was a decent write up in Midland Angler two months ago, quoting pegs nos, but these are now missing from the toppath generally. I'll dig it out when I get 5 mins and try to add to this question.

To give you a feel for it, it meets with the Curley Wyrley at Pelsall Common, now controlled by Cashmores. On there, during the earlier part of this year, a couple of the Chockie Munsters match fishing aquantances were 'pleasuring' it, with confirmed 80-100lb bags of tench and bream

It aint too bad down there - a lot more cover than the boat section you fished early Nov. Its gotto be a direct southerly to blow hard down the canal
