scrapyard to the Albion is Quorn to be fair pilling to the scrapyard which is out in the country this part we don't use very often in the winter but in the summer its full of fish as it flows sometimes more than the river . April might be too early for it though
loughboroughs water is Swing-bridge down to bishops meadow locks above and below :thumsup

Little bit of confusion with some anglers that want to take part !
You don't need to be a member of the Angling Trust to enter this competition . This might be holding anglers back there are plenty of spaces remaining so please don't hesitate to enter . The first round is 12 th April on the Loughborough canal this should be really good as we held the semi final of the winter league around this time of year

Relative answers to results queries

Rule 9. There will be one member of each Pair in each Section.
Rule 11. No competitor will change his/her Section. Any angler who commences fishing at the wrong peg will be disqualified.
Rule 42. The top five from each qualifier will be invited to the final. The result of the Pairs Championship shall be determined on a points system. If a pair cannot attend the final they must provide adequate time to notify the Angling Trust.

Entries should all receive a full copy of the Rules if you have entered through Angling Trust.

2 qwid don't seem to bad , think we've got to look to the future of big matches on natural waters , if we support it now then hopefully it can get bigger and bigger just like riverfest did and thats now a sellout. Without people like Joff who is keen to get these matches up and running wel all be sat round puddles paying anything up to £10 peg fees all year round coz theres nowt else being run if were not careful

bill , that does not answer the question , are the points 1 for a win down to 50 last in section or are they spilt into 10 peg mini section then 1 to 10 . and joff i think all the £40 is spilt between club that runs the match and the angling trust with the rest going to the final . so none of the money paid out on the day with a optional £10 per angler on day .

Match split into to sections a&b with 50 in each section 50points for section win down to 1 point for last
Add your to scores together an highest scoring pair wins if a tie then goes on weight (well was last year would av thought be same format this year )
Come on joffy what's the pegging likely to be :thumsup

Hi Preecy your correct
The Canal will be paper pegged in two sections A and B ive spoke to Brian and we have agreed that one section will be on Loughboroughs waters and one section on Quorns water with plenty of room
just hope we get a few more or it might not be 5 to qualify :-/

Rule 9. There will be one member of each Pair in each Section.

Would have thought this was pretty clear; a pair is two anglers with one angler in each section which equals two sections. There is no mention of mini sections in the rules

These rumours of £x amount of money going to Angling Trust are simply untrue. As far as I know £2 per angler goes to the Angling Trust towards administration. The value of your package, eg rules copy, peg card tickets and letter headed full information would cost that much to produce. :tiphat

Any info on the venue would be helpful only thing i have found out yet is that massey draws on a bridge hole every match and empties it.
