Every serious competition angler and Team angler should take a look at these new proposals. The Angling Trust are working hard to please everyone so have your say . Don't just brush it aside take a good look it's the future we have to look at .
Angling Trust's review of the Nationals: Chance to have your say on their future structure...
The Angling Trust Coarse Competitions Committee is currently reviewing the National Championships in England and is offering anglers, team captains, match organisers and other interested parties the chance to help shape their future structure.
Initial consultation resulted in three proposals to introduce a new structure in 2017 with a fourth option to leave it unchanged.
The Committee wants anglers to view the proposals on the Angling Trust website and give their opinions and feedback in a survey, which will close on Sunday, 13th March 2016.
Senior Competitions Manager Ben Thompson said: “The Nationals should be the pinnacle of club fishing in England. However, we are aware that the number of teams competing in National Championships has steadily declined over the years and despite stabilising of late, we are committed to ensuring the Nationals are fit for purpose and will attract new and lapsed teams to fish the competitions while retaining the core of teams that participate now.
"This is an opportunity for anglers to give us their views on how they should be run and the consultation is a very important part of the process. It is the opinions of anglers that will shape how the Nationals look in years to come.”
Make sure you have your say by completing the survey and letting the Angling Trust know your thought and ideas. Detailed information about the proposals and the survey can be found at www.anglingtrust.net/coarsecompetitions

Proposal C. This should have happened years ago.

We as a team never stood a chance of winning the National, we may have had shout at a Regional though, and less travelling.
