Grountbait Mixes

All,

I tend to struggle with picking the right ground bait mix for venue, conditions and target species.

Whats your favourite mix and when would you use it?

Thanks
Gareth

Hi Garath i tend to use on Rivers Gros -Gardons [roach] and 3000 canal this mix is a sticky mix and will hold plenty of feed if its skimmers or a slow river i like to add Sensas lake for the smell . if the river is pulling i add a binder as good as most i like Sensas River . if its a hard venue i would add soil to spread the G/B out most of my mixes are for natural venues Lakes ,rivers and canals in the summer i would add crushed hemp and before i use it i prepare it by pouring boiling water over the top in a bait box :thumsup ;)

Gareth, for the canals I fish, the stainy and the new junction, I use sensas super black river, brown crumb and mole hill soil, roughly 30% sensas ,30% crumb, 40 % mole hill soil, both canals are clear
This mix is mainly for both skimmers ,roach ,although most species willand do feed over it
