Another sad day for angling

Just over three months ago Tony keeling retired from the Angling Mail after seems like a lifetime in the trade of angling journalism . From the abyss came an interesting offer from the Canal and River trust completely voluntary to write a weekly piece about angling results on there waterways 2,000 miles in fact that are looked after by Canal and River Trust. As the C&RT run by Charity and Government grants money is always a issue . Tony being Tony took to the job[ without question and without pay] as you can see with some great ideas of his own with a touch of modern and old facts. C&RT asked if we [sensas UK] would like to link to our media site this  had been a great success with in the region of 2,000 to 4,000 hits a week .
Just over three months ago i posted this on site

River and Canal Trust are making headway in more ways than one not only are they tiding up our waterways, maintaining them and restocking them . Now they have started to keep every angler informed whether its match results or a story along the towpath you will get to see them. Tony Keeling has too many years of experience of writing to let this job slip . here's a quick look all you have to do is sign up !!!
Angling match results and news
Latest match results plus news and views on the angling scene, from Tony Keeling
Tony Keeling
Welcome to our new all singing, all dancing angling page which will be updated on a weekly basis (mainly Monday afternoons) with the weekend's angling match results. We'll also list the main forthcoming events and several items to whet your appetite on the angling front.
If you have any ideas yourself, that you think could be introduced to this website or quite simply results or funny stories please Quote

Well today i received a Email totally out the blue From the C&RT saying that Tony Keeling had stepped down for reasons they could not enclose.
This is a tragic loss to angling as Tony's page was always live by Monday morning with up to date results from the weekend that had just gone for all to see . Whatever has happened angling has shot it's self in the foot again  :angry
I have phoned Tony and whatever it is has really upset him i hope he will reconsider as i said this is a massive loss to angling .
If you read this Tony please reconsider  :thumsup

Wow this is a real shame as the service provided by Tony has a large (and growing ) following enjoyed by all with the up to the minute results and top quality information it provides . Whatever the reason is for Tony,s decision we all hope it can be sorted out quickly and Tony has a change of heart . Sad news , hope Tony is ok and all of us are hoping this site is back online very soon

WOW!! That is a shock. Like many on here, I have known Tony a long time, and have the utmost respect for him as an angler, journalist and a mate. Whatever the reason, and God only knows what it could be, he has my support. It is a loss to the C & RT, but even more so to us, as I like many on here, looked forward to his write ups as much as I used to look forward to his ramblings in the Mail. I know you will read these comments Tony, so if you need someone to have a good old fashioned chin wag with and put the world to rights, you have my number mate :tiphat :tiphat

Yes MrV i'm hoping with all Tony's contacts and knowledge of the canals across the country maybe i can get Tony to write something for Sensas UK .The amount of messages i have received through our link to this site has been overwhelming . No one wants to see Tony's result page finished especially before it's really started so fingers crossed ;) ;)
