Saturday 11th April 2015  Claygate Lake Eva
Saturday 2nd May 2015 Celebration Match  Hartleylands Farm Pear Tree lake
Saturday 6th June 2015  Colemans Cottage Stepfield Lake
Saturday 4th July 2015  Hartleylands Farm Nicks Lake
Saturday 18th July 2015    Alders Farm Pines Lake
Saturday 8th August 2015   Arrans lake
Saturday 5th September 2015 Colemans Cottage Woods lake
Saturday 19th September 2015 Claygate Lakes Sophie
Saturday 3rd October 2015  Tesco car parkHartleylands Farm Reservoir.
Saturday 17th October 2015 Monk Lakes Match Lake 4

Colemans Cottage have put their fees up this year and the costs to hire the whole lake are now unrealistic ( £350 for Woods lake)  I have therefore booked only the pegs we need at £10 each. Im sure they will come to realise that their income will reduce as instead of paying £280 as last year they will only get around £200 this year.
Hopefully the lack of spare pegs wont affect the weights though I have my doubts.

Happy New Year Guys. Hope you are all well and looking forward to another year of "bagging".

It seems we only have two matches this year and was wondering if there were any plans for anymore. Again due to shift work a few of us need to book holidays from work to attend these matches. The longer we leave it the less chance of getting the time off.

On another note, Alders are changing the lakes around again, moving fish around to encourage improved fish stocks. See Keith Arthur's column in the Angling Times. This means that Pines lake will have a lot of silver fish placed into it over the next few months(work has already started on this). A few larger carp will be moved to the Specimen lake and the smaller carp moved to the match lake.

Now I am aware that a lot of you will travel a good distance to fish Alders. Do you want to still fish Pines Lake or do you want me to try to get the match lake but I cannot guarantee the date will be the same.

Over to you guys to discuss

Personally I think a bash at the silvers would make a refreshing change :)

Keith.
I'll go with the flow but like Si a silvers only match would make a nice change.

Reference to Alders.

I have been told the levels of carp will be the same as last year and no significant change just additional silvers going in for now. However future years there will be changes to the make up of all the lakes. 2015 will see the first major change to the match lake and satellite ponds, opening them up, reducing the amount of pegs from 38 to 30 with proper solid pegs and adjusting the levels of the fish, thus reducing the weights.
2016 will see the remaining lakes( Speci and Pines) adjusted to turn the fishery into one of the best in the country.

I hope "opening them up" doesn't mean butchering all the bankside vegetation to create a "swimming pool" venue, the more trees, bushes, reeds etc. the better.

Spoke to himself. You're right Simon, he's been waiting for Jinx dates from Malc which have not been forthcoming. We agreed not to wait any longer so hopefully you should see some Marsh dates in the next week or two! I know Dave's not been feeling too good lately so please be patient. I've offered to help if he needs it. Will keep you posted.
