As the "silver lake" is new to a lot of us fishing I thought it best to let you know a little about it.

There are in total 31 pegs on it ranging from 12inches to 7-8ft. All are capable of doing a ton weight.

Methods that work are close in fishing and down the edges on all pegs, for those that like shallow fishing keep the feed going in and they will come, remember though fishery only feed pellet. Hookers can be anything. Some pegs have an island to fish to if you want to throw a method, waggler or bomb.

You will mainly be catching carp from 1lb to around 10lb although there are some good tench, bream and odd barbel in the lake.

Baits that are working at the moment are Paste, corn, pellet and maggot in no particular order. I would expect 200lb+ will win it with plenty of back up weights.

Breakfast will be from 0730 -0800. Remember to dip your nets prior to going down to the lakes. You will need a minimum of 3 keepnets. I will be down early and will get my gear to the lake and then return to help anyone else to the lake. I will have a chat with Trevor if we can park at the bottom, although space is limited.

Any questions please ask.

This is a Marsh match so Dave will run it as normal.

I have just got off the phone to Trevor and he has asked if we could have a slightly later breakfast. I have agreed as a lot of you have a fair bit of travelling. Breakfast will be from 0900. If you still want to get here early then fine.
We can possibly do what we do at Puddledock and draw, set up and then have breakfast if everyone is there.

So Terry I have cancelled your early brekkie and made you have to wait a little longer to eat.

For those who need to drop their gear off at the bottom, Trevor has agreed as long as it is controlled,(no more than three cars at any one time). Both Troy and myself will be on hand to help get your gear to the lake.

Simon,

The only bait that needs ordering is maggot, if you want some then let me know and I will ask Trevor to arrange it for collection on the day.

He is away for a few days this week but can arrange for delivery to the fishery on Friday if needed.
