Re: Monk lake 1. Saturday 10th April 2021

Good to hear from you Mick. After what you said last year I wasn’t expecting you to do the Kent matches.
I’m sure no one will have a problem with the short walk. Look forward seeing you soon

Re: Monk lake 1. Saturday 10th April 2021

I usually ask for the centre spit so that we stay away from day ticket guys ( pegs 12-33), though they may suggest we have the far bowl (23-44). As we only have 10 max then 2 banks is all we need.
I have more bookings I havent updated yet.

Re: Monk lake 1. Saturday 10th April 2021

Keith and Gino I have sent a PM with payment details

If anyone else would like to pay by Bank Transfer please let me know and I will send details as it will probably be easier than on match day. if your fishing at Monk include the match fee and pay £50, if not £40.

Monk lake 1. Saturday 10th April 2021

Providing Boris doesn’t change the plans we should be able to start this season with this match. We should be OK to follow the same procedure as last year for the draw and payments. Don’t forget to check if you need to renew your licence. So who wants to join in? Dave Paid Gino. Paid Jim Paid Tony P...

Re: Club Match Bookings 2021

I have been informed that Colemans Cottage have restarted taking match bookings but at £12 per peg.

What are people’s views on booking a match there, if so which lake.

Re: Club Match Bookings 2021

First match will be Monk lake 1 on 10th April. There are several places I need to get out and see to try and get some new venues sorted but others are being booked. Club funds are very depleted after last year and my initial calculations suggest that Subs of £40 upfront and £10 per match which would...

Re: Arrans Lake Sat 17th October

Costs will be £12. Credits for Mick £9, Chris £10 and Mark £8. We will probably be asked to weigh fish over 8lb but I will try to negotiate over 10lb. Net limit as usual 60lb. Again we may be asked for a midmatch weigh. If anyone has scale can you please bring them along. Considering the change to l...

Re: Prospective membership and venues for 2021

My only input is can we fish the so called bagging up venues, Monks 2, Aarons and Orchard Farm during the summer months. So you are quite happy to volunteer to do all the weighing in on those big weight places. And aslo promise to fish all the less prolific places at the harder time of year, or wou...

The problem is finding new venues that work for us. Any suggestions are very welcome as I now struggle to get out and find them.

Must admit I agree with your thoughts on Tyler’s. I don’t know of many places over to the west, perhaps Clive could suggest something.

Re: Southend Farm, Damsel Lake; 3rd Oct 2020

Well even though it was wet and that didn’t help the arthritis I thought we had a reasonable day. I don’t know how the lake would have fished with our usual 12 or more fishing. It would certainly give us another venue if booked for the warmer weather as someone suggested yesterday when it might cope...
