Re: Re: Club match bookings 2020

Chris - I know Dave has spoken to Southend Farm, but unfortunately the main match lake is not available. We were offered Damsel Lake which is 17 pegs which is a bit tight, but I think Dave has now decided to book it anyway, as most/all fisheries can fill their lakes with pleasure anglers at the mo, ...

Orchard Place Farm Lake 6, 19th Sept 2020

How times change. 2 years ago 10 of us had two 300lb+, five 200lb+ and one 100lb+ weights and a total of c1900lb of fish. Today just 9 fished and Keith recorded the only ton (108lb) to register a good win; in total we posted just under 500lb. Make no mistake, the overall level of skill in the club h...

Claygate Lake Eva, 5th Sept 2020

12 fished today - weather sunny periods and a gentle breeze. We fished the long bank nearest the carpark today. Pegging was a tight - a continuing theme, as most/all the venues we fish have seen a huge increase in demand from pleasure anglers, putting the pressure on space for us and on the lakes we...

Puddledock Farm - Road Lake 15/08/20

13 fished today; we had pegs 29 down to 9, so about 2/3 of the lake. Weather was overcast and humid with occasional rain/showers and light winds. Road Lake is never a gimmie and most of our matches there over the years have been won with less than a ton. Today was no exception with most finding the ...

Blind Lane, 1st August 2020

11 fished today in pleasant weather - sun/sunny periods periods with a steady breeze/ripple for most swims on & off during the day. Weights were down on last year due in part to an abundance of small stockies and which we didin't see last time out. Today's winner was Chris T with 123lb caught mo...

Re: Blind Lane. 2nd August 2020

I'll be there Dave, but Jim's a no. A few of the lads are away this week so you may get some late replies. Last year the final 2 pegs were pretty difficult to fish - steep slope. Depends how many we get, but I reckon we need the whole of end and far banks as a minimum just to get some reasonable dis...

Monk Lake 2 18th July 2020

14 fished today in mostly sunny and warm - oh and breezy weather. Now as we all know 'breezy' at Monk Lakes can mean some pegs had it 'blowin hard' with waves breaking and facing it full on, while others were pretty much becalmed all day, and so it was today. We fished pegs 45-77 - ie the near bank ...
