Re: Puddledock Snake Saturday 20th June

Tony is on the case Clive. I will be give him the dimensions of the weigh bucket tomorrow. we were also discussing if it’s worth getting another weigh bucket so we can speed up weigh ins using both sets of scales.

Any suggestions or comments from everyone welcome.

Re: Puddledock Snake Saturday 20th June

I have just received a phone call from Puddledock wanting to confirm if we still want to fish and I have said yes. They only deal in cash so I have confirmed we can do that safely. We provisionally have from peg 1 to peg 30 and fishing every other peg.

Re: Puddledock Snake Saturday 20th June

Money. Payment to the fishery will be entirely dependant on how they want it. I will pay by card or bank transfer to those with the facilities, if they require cash I will pay them from a supply of clean money I have here. Collecting match fees. I don’t have Paypal nor do I wish to try and keep tra...

Puddledock Snake Saturday 20th June

As the Angling Trust have now been given the governments approval that Fishing Matches can go ahead it looks fairly certain that we will be able to start our season at Puddledock. https://www.anglingtrust.net/news.asp?section=29&sectionTitle=Angling+Trust+News&itemid=5271 I will now try to w...

Re: Monk Lake 1 30th May 2020

I have just spoken to them. They have been trying to see if its possible to organise a small match but no one seems to take social distancing seriously so they will not be doing anything. I think that even if they agreed to us keeping the booking, the issues of trying to get through the likely queue...

Re: Monk Lake 1 30th May 2020

At the moment Monks lakes are jam packed. people were queuing back to the main road at 7 this morning. It took them 3 hours today to fill the place and when Puma and Bridges are full ( fishing every other peg )they are sending everyone up to the match lakes. I have asked if we can still hold onto ou...

Re: Monk Lake 1 30th May 2020

Thanks for the reply Keith, I hope you are well.
It’s no surprise that your unwilling to travel so far for a pleasure session, I would probably say the same.
I’m sure that Rod and Mick will also be isolating and I’m still in doubt if it’s safe for me to venture out.

Stay Safe

Re: Monks Lake 1

We have 3 weeks til the Monks match so it’s possible something can be agreed so we can fish it. How safe it might be for the members who are currently shielding and if they want to go I’m not sure.
We will just have to wait and see.

Re: Just checking in

Worst part is missing my adult children and grandchildren, cannot hug them or give them a cuddle Same us us Keith, Gladys is going spare not being able to hug them. We did manage to see them on my 70th birthday as they brought over some shopping for us plus a cake that 11 year old Alfie made for me...

Re: Just checking in

Won’t be much change for me. I have only been out a couple of times to collect prescriptions from the chemist in the last 7 weeks. I consider it too much of a risk to go out now and as the number of infections is bound to increase from an already high level its only going to get worse. The only thin...

Re: Happy Birthday Dave.

Thanks Peter. I should have been cruising down the Danube with a posh meal in the italian restaurant with unlimited champagne and booze. Still we managed with a glass of prosecco and a bag of crisps. Chrissy was supposed to be delivering some food essentials on Saturday but surprised us by turning u...

Re: Re: Club match bookings 2020

Following the extension of the lockdown by 3 weeks it is obvious that our match at Claygate on 2nd May cannot go ahead and also I doubt that Southend Farm will be possible. So both matches are therefore cancelled. I think that Monk lake 1 on 30th May is also in doubt but hopefully we can get out for...

Re: Arrans lake Sat 4th April 2020. MATCH CANCELLED

I agree with you Keith. There are too many out there willing to risk other people’s lives just so they can do what they want. We have been indoors since last Thursday and apart from collecting prescriptions next week plus a click and collect grocery order to get, won’t be venturing out again for som...

Re: Arrans lake Sat 4th April 2020

Following Boris speech and the further restrictions brought in there is no way this match can carry on. It is therefore cancelled.
I also expect that the next match planned for Hartleylands will be off as well as I am sure these restrictions will go on for longer.

Arrans lake Sat 4th April 2020. MATCH CANCELLED

As things are changing on a daily basis Im not sure if the venue will be open or if we will be in lockdown in 2 weeks time. At the moment there are 5 of us who feel its unsafe to leave the house though several others appear to want to fish. I suggest everyone lets me know if they want to fish or not...
