Walked around it this morning, as I often do (but don't fish).
Last time I fished it was probably 4 yrs plus ago. At that time there were a lot of decent sized roach (Tk !), may still be, but hardly fished for.

Barry brookes
Can't say I ' knew' him, but certainly remember him in his Cofton days. Remember fishing next to him in a match at Tewkesbury and visited the shop on a few occasions.
Had a very early (fibreglass) Lerc telescopic pole from him as a lad.

canal fish records
Just a couple of months ago, you may have heard, an absolutely astounding Roach of 2-3-11 was caught by design, from the North Oxford Canal in Coventry, on the float. Been down to The Crown Meadow, Evesham
Had a lovely couple of afternoons on the Crown Meadow this week, fished pegs 1 & 6. Mostly a bite a chuck from decent fish, if only I could do that in the matches, but then i'd have to fish them to do that lol and of course they know when the whistles gone. Clear river, sunshine and boats trips ...

Great evesham festival again
Absolutely love being there for the festival these days. Pity I missed the glory years. Find these matches very interesting, how the pegs are tackled, how the methods are fished. About the the only occasion I get to see top anglers on the river. Hard venue but often bites to be had, see enough walki...

Curse match 8 2013 - Little Gearies
Its a decent venue and pool this, close to me and I managed to pop down and say hello. I was concerned it may be a grueller in the hot weather but it didn't look too bad when I wandered around, thank goodness .
Some catchin', some not, as fishin' goes

Curse match 8 2013 - Little Gearies
Yep, 60lb is unlikely :o , but who knows ... If any members are interested here's a couple of snaps I took on the 3rd of June, looking up the pool from the end nearest Big Gearys. Vegetation has fleshed out even more now although individual pegs have been cleared of course. An island runs the lengt...
