River season is almost here

I'm just starting to gee myself up for the opening ... Didn't bother with any canal matches n the close season this year .... Generally weather has been too windy or chilly to make me regret that! I've been lucky enough to get 7 of 11 riverfest qualifiers, so starting out on that on the Calder on op...

Trent Matches back on the calendar

that's Burton I presume Joffy?

Tony Vandome told me that he's only booking up one at a time this year.

That first one will be interesting ... traditionally that's very early for upper Trent and it's been a cold spring!!

CLOSE SEASON - good , bad ?

The only other factors to consider
1.  allows times for natural banks to recover
2.  allows anglers time to do DIY :-)
3.  a break can help prevent you becoming jaded and disillusioned

Racking my memory 1990 European Supercup day 1

Mark, I have the angling times report on the matches. It's reverse side of a national champs that I took part in so have kept as a clipping. You are right about jan van schendal, as he was 2nd overall (stu killen was 3rd). The report doesn't give much more detail on individuals ... Could it have bee...

EVER DRAWN THE SAME PEG TWICE

not very often as I go to lots of different venues ..... but I had a run a year ago of drawing the weirpool peg at Barford on the Warks Avon.
This peg regularly throws up framing weights ..... but I just can't seem to work it out.

International Anglers Meeting 2014

Good stuff Markus!

A few questions if you don't mind:
What happened to the match fishing ban in Germany?
How long is this match? 3,4 or 5 hours?
How deep is the venue?
With all those lovely roach, do you ever fish hempseed on this or other venues?

RESULTS ROUND THREE SVWL

How about section 5 Joff, 4th and 5th appear to be the wrong way round (don't think it changes anything).

Gutted that on my annual appearance in the league I drew Sutton high numbers ..... What a cesspit in these conditions!
