All our yesterdays............another crack outfit

Back in the late 70s early 80s I used to have a Ken Smith 9 1/2 foot leger rod made by Rodrill. Is that the same Ken Smith in the pic? Also if he`s the one with the Benny Hill glasses and the top of his y fronts showing no wonder I never caught anything with it?

reel looks like an abu 506 and the rod could be a hardy matchmaker or shakespeare international.

Ain`t got a clue who the angler is.

yer TK, Collingham weir looking downstream.
Those guys standing on the concrete in the bottom right of the pic are just to the left of where peg 1A is. It was full of froth on the day I drew it, couldn`t see the water until later in the day. Can`t see any bivvies on the banks?

nice little earner for gold valley, I suppose they`ll waive the £5 walking round fee for the runners. Think of all them `lovely pasties` they`ll sell in the clubhouse.

What about the winter league money, where did that go. According to those that know there were 160 teams competing in the AT winter league, each paying £100 to AT, thats £16,000. On the final they paid out about £6,000 max to the teams and individuals, so where did the other £10k go? If it financed ...

nice to see you both Richie & Richie, (Choppie & Chavey) on saturday. You both done well in b section. Choppie was telling me after the match that he had 15lb of roach on tares. Great angling. Don`t know what you caught Chavey but you had a similar weight so well done. My match wasn`t so str...

Winter league final

Joff, no mention of a new sponsor or whether they need one to run the event. In terms of money paid out, they only paid top three teams and first in sections. There was an individual payout as well but I can`t remember how many they paid out. Pools were only £15 so you can`t expect much from that. I...

Winter league final

I fished the final and in my opinion the venue was top class, lots of fish with nice pleasant settings with very helpful fishery staff. On the flip side I would prefer a more traditional venue like the nene or trent only because it feels right and i`m not fishing for someone`s pets in their backgard...
