Re: Salmon in the Dove

I think the producer shows a little naivety at the end of the video by asking for a fish ladder at Norbury. I'd hate to count up how many other weirs the fish have climbed before even getting to Norbury ??

Re: Drennan acolyte feeder rods

They do look very nice DB. How much are they going for, if you don't mind ??

I'm a bit old school, I still use Daiwa Amorphous Whisker 11/13 Stillwaters. Got 2 of them. (And the rest of the range also) Don't think her indoors would be best pleased if I said I'd be swapping them for 2 Drennans.

Re: Weir field, Holme Marsh.

Yes it would DB. Went for a ride over at the weekend, took the Missus and our two Lurchers. (I know how to treat a woman) You can't get from the Collingham side due to a great big effing fence. Don't know why it's there TBH and not much of a walk either. Spoke to one of the lads fishing, he said if ...

Re: Drennan Coors Trent Masters - Round 5 (16/08/15)

I'd been watching the level all week. 1.09m untill the rain came, we needed it, just not that much. Rained all day Friday. I was setting up our Caravan in it, got soaked. Masses of streamer weed came down, tried fishing the feeder, 3oz would hold with a big bow, but I just got wiped out by the weed....

Re: Drennan Coors Trent Masters - Round 5 (16/08/15)

Fished Cuttle Brook on Saturday. Very difficult what with all the crap coming down. Four of us fished and we only caught 1/2 dozen fish between us. 4gr alloy stick required, but too much weed coming through.

They did well to catch that above us, either that or we really are rubbish.

His mate however, uses the Toureny and likes that too. ......Me, i'd go for the Tourney, but thats because i'm a tackle tart. But i don't fish fo...

I used to travel there on my souped up (Micron exhaust) Suzuki AP50. About 15 miles each way.
