We do them for the bream and skimmers on the R. Yare. We don't use annatto though, but the bright pink dye that I forget the name of. I'll remember the name of the angler eventually as well.

Hope the dentist sorted the old tooth out mate!

That is a good result for Leicester. I suppose that at home City must be strong odds on favourites.

Suffolk Water Park Result 9/1/11

We had a good turnout today of 23 anglers as Tendering Tanglers joined in with the Open - They had 1st and 3rd as well! The match was always going to be hard and it was! 1st Barry Hickford, Tendering Tanglers on peg 36 had a carp of 6lb 2oz and some skimmers on the pole for a runaway win of 14lb 4oz ...

Very pleased with them. They say they have had 4lb fish out, but I have never seen one. Quite a few 2lbers come out in the matches though, mostly on caster. Worm, even lobworm, doesn't seem to work particularly well. I will have a lobworm worm line in the match tomorrow though. ;) ;)

Certainly is. I have had a change of plans and will be fishing Suffolk Water Park tomorrow. It is a commercial between Claydon and Bramford that would not have been here when you were last here CWH. There is an open there tomorrow so I went and practised today and had 2 great perch and a load of ...

Ashes

Great result again. Those aussies hate losing don't they. I understand that in their 'excitement' or was it haste to get the presentations over, they forgot to give Cook his 'Man of the series' award.

Nice one! >:(

I am fishing Barham Pits on Sunday and I often use Birds Fishing Tackle shop in Claydon, right by the level crossing. Only 5 mins from here. I have fished with/against Gary in the past, I seem to think he fished for Ipswich Wasps years ago. There are quite a few fishing Reynolds around here. Two ...

I have just bought 1000 litres of Central heating oil - 81p a litre.  I hear that in Wales it is 54p a litre.  That is a difference of £270 on my 1000 litres.  Talk about a rip off! Oh and you can add VAT to that as well!

OOps!! that was the Swan at Horning that I stayed in not the Ferry. (That got burnt down and rebuilt as well). The Ferry is where we collected the N&DAA boats to fish the Bure and the boatyards around there. N&DAA still control the fishing on the far bank of the river from the pub. Never fished that ...

I have stayed there in the past with Gordon Blanks and his old man Ron and it crossed my mind. Looks different when you are on the inside sitting in the Bar though! http://simplematchfishing.co.uk/forum2/images/converted_files/yabbfiles/Templates/Forum/default/rofl.gif http://simplematchfishing.co ...

Keith Ford who runs the Opens on the R. Yare and has done for years has taken a 50% financial interest in the Beauchamp Arms. Now that is what I call making sure that we keep the draw there and breakfasts are up to scratch :) :) :) :) :)

Not the Beauchamp Arms for definite, I am not sure whether it is the Broads or not. I don't recognise it. Could it be on the Thames? Looks like they may get their feet wett every now and then :o :o :o

Pretty sure it is a mixture of all those plus perhaps one other which is due because of the stocking density.

That is the fish poo filled silt in many commercials that gives off noxious toxins and gases. If those cannot escape then they will poison the water.
