Man city

I am Dave in the championship but I love arsenal and city yet for some reason I can't support Utd at any cost  :-/ :-/ I can't tell you why  :-? :-? :-? It's because they spanked Leicester 3-1 in the 1963 cup final - first game I remember watching on tele. My dad sat me down and said: 'Leicester ar...

get stuffed

A guy took 2 stuffed dogs to the Antiques Road show "Ooh!" said the presenter, "This is a very rare set, produced by the celebrated Johns Brothers taxidermists who operated in London at the turn of last century. Do you have any idea what they would fetch if they were in good condition...

Manchester Derby Monday Night

http://simplematchfishing.co.uk/forum2/images/converted_files/yabbfiles/Templates/Forum/default/thumbsup.gif - I'm still scarred from getting my first football shirt - my mum got me a city shirt instead of a united one! Still had to wear it though! I'd have been about 9 - they'd call it child abuse...

International weekends AND FRIENDLYS

England were just as sloppy in the first half as the second but Montenegro upped their game. Too many soft balls given away. Stevie G was poor by his standards, corner apart.

Colin Bell was another until that dirty rag Woman's wetter Martin Buchan broke his leg in a Manchester derby.

Ooh, I'd forgotten about that! Raffles, the gentleman thug, springs to mind.

I think they deffo lose that 'edge'. You can always tell when it happens to a striker, especially one like Michael Owen, they start getting caught offside all the time as they are now trying to steal a yard that they didn't used to need. Another player who could have been something special too, but ...

Standard Of Officials In The Premier League

I think that's the difference between football and rugby - the ref on the pitch doesn't definitely have to see the incident in rugby. And in respect of foul play when no action was taken at the time, a player can be cited and banned, unlike the FA's recent (today) decision.

Standard Of Officials In The Premier League

I'll give you an example from the weekend Dodge. A striker got muscled off the ball, apparently shoulder to shoulder in the box and went down, fair challenge, play on. However the view from the sidelines, opposite to the ref, meaning that I could see what he couldn't, was that the defender had used ...

Standard Of Officials In The Premier League

Yes saw that Fillyarnie 'penalty' clearly in the area. Not sure but didn't the ref award the foul for an incident just before, out of the area, - thus nullifying Fellyovers handball? It is a Catch 22 situation really, hardly any players go into reffing after their playing career is over yet they ha...

I've still got one - the gap between the spool and the rotor is so big that a decent irish jockey would get a horse through it! Image

I think the rod is a Milbro Golden Jubilee - actually used to be Ivan's weapon of choice, pre Persuader days (and the little tinker still used them as 'Persuaders' but painted black cos the glass was a different colour).
